pango, mā whero, ka oti te mahi

Te Arapiki means 'bridge' in te reo Māori.  This metaphor fits with my desire to awhi (support/work alongside) individuals in their journey towards achieving an optimal level of hauora (health and wellbeing), while respecting cultural needs.

  • Face to Face or Online psychotherapy (via secure video platform) for adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety (general and trauma related), PTSD, interpersonal relationship and general challenges.   I am a certified clinican with the Beck Institute, founder of CBT, and can be found in their international directory of certified clinicians.  While I specialise in CBT I also often integrate the following therapies and approaches - Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Somatic experiencing, positive psychology, strengths based, culturally responsive and solutions focused therapy.
  • Emotional Intelligence (EI) testing using the MSCEITTM ability based measure - one of a small number of valid and reliable tests to identify intelligence in recognising own and others emotions (self awareness) and using that information to effectively resolve conflicts and problems. Effective use of EI reduces stress, stengthens interpersonal relationships and lifts motivation.  The assessment is undertaken online, followed by a comprehensive report and online debrief/coaching session.  Ideal for use in recruitment, personal development, enhancing leadership skills and lifting workplace morale and motivation.

  • Advice and support in terms of student learning, social skills and behaviour needs.
